Meeting was called to order by Carol Johnson at 7:30am. Connie led the flag salute.
Thought of the Day:
Peggy gave a history moment about city council agenda 100 years ago.
Edna moved to accept July 2 meeting minutes, seconded by Julie H. Motion passed.

Andrew announced his corn roast August 4.
Thursday the Kiwanis host Jim M. and his time at Normandie.
Carol announced the proposed testimony about 5G and septic fees by Jim McEntire. Steve B. moved to approve Jim’s testimony, seconded by Edna. Steve B. added that it is no substitute for an internet connection, 5G doesn’t work as a primary connection.
Government Affairs meeting follows this meeting.
Motion to extend the meeting up to 15 minutes. Motion passed.
Program: Position 5 Candidates for City Council
Andrew announced the Position 5 candidates for City Council. There is no incumbent. Charlie. McCaughan, Doc Robinson and Artur Wojnowski.
Artur has a construction and architecture background and ran for city council previously. Charlie is from Mississippi and works for PUD, living here since 1994. Doc is the Director of Serenity House and says the city is not doing enough for housing.
Question and answer session followed about unfunded mandates, Sequim social services collaboration, annexation, business licenses, attracting business, impediments to business, Lincoln Park, intentions of city council and how they would work together, zoning and panhandling.
