Meeting Minutes

October 17, 2017

Meeting was called to order at 7:30am by Vice President Matthew Rainwater.

Minutes:

Paul  Martin moved and Dick Pilling seconded acceptance of the PABA meeting minutes from October 10, 2017. Motion carried.

Guests:

Guests introduced themselves and several announcements were made regarding upcoming community events.

Program

This meeting was the eighth of nine PABA election forums with local candidates or about local issues on the Nov. 7 general election ballot. This forum featured a discussion on Proposition 1, the city ballot measure to change Port Angeles from a code city to a second-class city.

Arguing the pro side was Edna Willadsen, an Our Water, Our Choice! anti-fluoridation activist and a member of the Prop. 1 petition drive. Con arguments were presented by David Mabrey, a Port Angeles resident who has followed the second-city debate for more than a year.

Former PABA President, Andrew May, moderated the forum.
